Windows Mobile Pocket PC

The Windows Mobile Devices are manufactured by companies such as Dell (Axim), HP (iPaq), Fujitsu-Siemens (Pocket Loox), Accer, Asus (MyPal) etc.

A special group of Windows Mobile devices are devices with GSM/GPRS support like Palm 700w, HP 6315, O2, HP 65xx, HP 68xx, HP 69xx and others.

We have tested all of our software with the following devices:

How can I find the OS version on the handheld?

On the device please do the following: Open Start>Settings, select the System tab and press About.

• Microsoft Windows Mobile Version 6.1 is equivalent for WM 6.1
• Microsoft Windows Mobile Version 6.0 is equivalent for WM 6.0
• Microsoft Windows Mobile Version 5.0 is equivalent for WM 5.0
• Version 4.21 is equivalent for Pocket PC 2003 SE (Second Edition)
• Version 4.20 is equivalent for Pocket PC 2003.
• Version 3.00, build greater than 10000 is equivalent for Pocket PC 2002.
• Version 3.00, build less than 10000 is equivalent for Pocket PC 2000.

Is my device supported?

Generally all of our software works with all devices from the version Pocket PC and/or Smartphone Edition 2000. It depends only of the installed version of compact .net framework which is essential for our products to work properly. However SHBT MyHome is only working from Windows Mobile Phone Edition 5.0 and up (6.0 and 6.1). It is recommended that you install the newst version of compact .net framework or the supplied framework. It is also very important that you understand that there are a lot of types of Pocket PCs:

• Windows Mobile 6.1 - Professional (Classic with Phone functionality)

• Windows Mobile 6.0 - Professional (Classic with Phone functionality)
• Windows Mobile 5.0
• Windows Mobile 5.0 - Phone Edition
• Pocket PC 2003SE
• Pocket PC 2003SE - Phone Edition, etc.

Smartphone:

• Windows Mobile 6.1 - Standard
• Windows Mobile 6.0 - Standard
• Windows Mobile 5.0 - Smartphone, etc.

This is important for you in general if you are buying software from us or others, because a software which was developed for Pocket PC/Windows Mobile Edition will not work with Smartphone Editions!
